1.0 SCOPE OF WORK: For the end item the contractor shall furnish all facilities, parts, materials,equipment and services, required to inspect and, if necessary, restore to serviceable condition. Services tobe performed will not be essential in a crisis situation. Work consists of one of four efforts: Test,teardown, and evaluation (TT&E) only; TT&E and Minor Repair; TT&E and Major Rebuild.1.1 TEST, TEARDOWN, AND EVALUATION: The contractor shall perform visual, mechanicaland electrical testing of the end item, reusable or replacement component parts, and materialsaccording to the schedule in the contract to determine the condition of the end item. Uponcompletion of this task, all of the components of the end item requiring repair or replacementwill be identified by part number, NSN (if applicable), nomenclature, and location in theassembly. This information will be reported in writing to the Procurement Contracting Officer(PCO)/ Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) Administrative Contracting Officer(ACO) and, if necessary, a category of repair will be negotiated. The price of repair for the enditem will be firm-fixed based on this negotiated repair level. If no further repair is required, theasset must be returned in serviceable like new condition.1.2 MINOR REPAIR: (FFP) Minor repair is a repair that does not require total disassembly of theend item or replacement of major subcomponents. A minor repair candidate typically requiresexternal adjustments or rework to meet all the electrical specifications in accordance with theTechnical Order Test Procedure and mechanical dimensions in accordance with the outlinedrawing. It would include repair or replacement of damaged or missing minor external parts asrequired.
