- The agreement with the city contractor for the maintenance of the sewers will expire at the end of the year. That is why it is necessary that a award procedure is started to be able to appoint a new city contractor. The city contractor carries out all kinds of small maintenance and repair works on public domain (mainly smaller than 10 m² of land surface), such as the execution of: on the one hand commissioned and for the account of the city of Lokeren: • repairing defective house connections; • Restoring defects on the existing sewer system; • Restoring the existing condition of the sewerage above the house connections; • Performing small adjustment works for the drainage infrastructure. On the other hand, commissioned and for the account of private individuals: • Performing a new connection to the urban sewer system, • and reducing border stones on behalf of private individuals.
