Abstract: Argyll & Bute Council intends to initiate a procurement process to appoint a transport operator to provide safe and secure school transport on the island of Islay. This notice is an early announcement to inform potential suppliers about the upcoming tender opportunity.Aim of Service:The main elements of the School Transport Service are:(a)To transport children to and from school safely and timeously;(b)To encourage responsible behaviour by scholars;(c)To liaise with Head Teachers or nominated representatives and Council Officers to achieve a high standard of service.Contract Duration:The contract duration will be for a period of 5 years from February 2024 with an option to extend for up to a further 2 years, subject to satisfactory performance of the contract.Procurement Procedure:We intend to conduct a competitive open procurement procedure via PCS with all additional documents,...
